Livsee Gets Local

We're excited about our new affiliations with Detroit Metropolitan Apartment Association (DMAA) and the Washtenaw Area Apartment Association (WA3). With our office based in Ann Arbor, this local involvement is close to home — and close to our hearts.

We were able to connect with operators and suppliers at the DMAA golf outing and the WA3 Reverse Trade Show. It’s been energizing to meet apartment owners and property managers right here in Southeast Michigan.

Our goal? To see Livseeā„¢ thrive in our own backyard — helping local teams boost occupancy, streamline follow-up, and increase conversion with less manual lift.

If you're a Michigan-based owner or operator and want to learn more or schedule time with our team, we’d love to hear from you.

From Launch to Lift-off

From officially launching in May to rolling out integrations in June, the first half of 2025 has been all about momentum. In just a few short months, we’ve onboarded our first customers, integrated with two major property management systems, and built real traction across events and channels.

Backed by Michigan’s Innovation Economy

At Livseeā„¢, we’ve experienced firsthand how vital local support can be — not just in funding, but in forging connections, building momentum, and fueling long-term growth.

It was a great step forward in January to see the Michigan Innovation Fund established with bipartisan support. The recent announcement of Innovation Fund awardees was cause for pride and celebration as we saw several of our early investors receiving support from the new fund.

We’re incredibly grateful to have the backing of Ann Arbor SPARK, Michigan State University, and ID Ventures. These partners have helped power our early growth — and now, with the announcement of the Michigan Innovation Fund recipients by Governor Gretchen Whitmer, we’re excited to see even more momentum building across the state.

We’re proud to be part of this progress — and optimistic about what’s ahead as Michigan continues to invest in its tech economy and startup ecosystem.

Product Progress

Your data is our priority. The Livseeā„¢ platform is currently undergoing the process to achieve SOC 2 compliance — a key step as we continue to grow with enterprise-scale customers and deepen integrations across the multifamily ecosystem.

SOC 2 stands for Systems and Organization Controls 2. It’s a framework to protect client privacy developed by the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants). It focuses on five key principles: Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, and Privacy.

The compliance process will ensure that we build a platform that’s not only powerful but secure, scalable, and ready to handle your PII with care.

Thank You Najiyah & Victoria

As summer winds down, we’re celebrating the incredible contributions of our interns Najiyah Mohiuddin and Victoria Malcolm — who each brought their skills, energy, and fresh perspective to Livseeā„¢ over the past few months.

Najiyah Mohiuddin, a recent graduate of Eastern Michigan University, joined us as a Digital Content Associate and quickly made her mark on Livsee’sā„¢ creative strategy. From trend-driven social content to UX-inspired storytelling, Najiyah helped shape how we present our brand — especially to a new generation of renters. Her research, writing, and eye for design gave our marketing a sharper, more relevant edge.

ā

ā€œI saw the potential for Livsee to connect with Gen Z renters, and it was exciting to contribute to that vision through social media and content research.ā€

Najiyah

Victoria Malcolm, a graduate student at EMU studying Information Systems and Business Analytics, joined as an Analytics & Systems Associate. She brought rigor and insight to everything from internal dashboards to product research — helping our team better understand data, client needs, and emerging AI trends. Her research background and analytical approach added real depth to our operational strategy.

ā

ā€œWorking with Livsee gave me the chance to apply what I’ve been learning in the classroom to real-world challenges — and see the impact of my work in action.ā€

Victoria

We’re grateful to both Victoria and Najiyah for jumping in, leveling up our work, and leaving Livseeā„¢ better than they found it. We can’t wait to see what’s next for them!

What Makes AI Defensible in Real Estate Tech?
A new piece from NFX outlines what separates high-value AI from trend-chasing tools: proprietary data, deep workflow integration, and industry-specific insight. In real estate tech, it’s not just about using AI—it’s about embedding it where it actually solves operational pain points.

Life Beyond Livseeā„¢: Staying Grounded this Summer

Startups don’t really have ā€œslow seasonsā€ — and summer can feel like a sprint. So this month we’re sharing a few go-to self-care habits and strategies that help us stay focused, energized, and (mostly) sane.

Here’s what’s keeping the Livseeā„¢ team balanced this season:

  • Keep it moving. Whether it’s a walk and talk to check-in or a quick midday stretch, even 10 minutes of movement can reset the tone for the day.

  • Skip the doomscroll. Swap the morning scroll and take 10 minutes to set intentions, make a to-do list, and sip some matcha — starting your day calm and focused makes all the difference.

  • Protect the pause. Summer’s a reminder that ā€œpowering offā€ is productive too. That could mean a weekend away, or an afternoon unplugged.

  • Celebrate every win. We start the day by sharing one task we each plan to accomplish. A little accountability goes a long way — and ending the day with a clear win (no matter how small) helps build momentum.

  • Touch grass (literally). Whether it’s working from a porch, hitting a local trail, or lunch in the sun — nature helps reframe even the busiest week.

Have a favorite routine or reset of your own? Hit reply and share — we’re always looking for new ways to keep things grounded.
